Why everyone is talking about it
VR fitness, mixed-reality games and “VR fails” clips keep the Quest line trending, and the 3S brought the price down for a lot more households.
What the reviews agree on
Stuff said nothing does standalone VR better for the money. TechRadar called it the world’s best affordable VR headset, while noting it isn’t for everyone. Tom’s Hardware described sensible compromises for the price, with a more noticeable “screen door” effect than the Quest 3. PCGamesN scored it 7/10, calling it a brilliant budget headset with some issues.
Volt’s take
As a first VR headset, it’s the obvious pick. Check Meta’s age rules and set up a parent-managed account for younger players, and clear a safe space before you play.
